Preparation:

  • Marinate the prawn for 10 minutes, with lemon juice, salt and 1/2 teaspoon chili powder.

Method:

  • Heat 2 tablespoon oil in a pan, when it starts smoking, reduce the flame to medium and fry the prawn for 1 minute. Remove from heat and keep aside.
  • Add remaining oil in the same pan and fry the chopped onion until they become light golden brown in color.
  • Now add onion paste and saute for 2 minutes. Then add all other ingredients and stirring continuously until oil become separated from spices.
  • Add 1 cup water and bring to boil.
  • Mix the prawn, cover and cook for 10 minutes on a low flame.
  • Finally  green chilies and cook another 2 minutes.
  • Turn off flame and remove from heat and serve hot with rice or plain khichuri.
