Description
Italian Prawn Pasta
Ingredients
- Pasta - 300 gm
- Prawn - 200 gm without head & skin
- Tomato puree - 1 cup
- Whole Tomato - 1/2 cup chopped
- Red Chili Flakes - 1 teaspoon
- Oregano or thym - 1 teaspoon
- Onion - 1/4 cup finely chopped
- Ginger - 1 tablespoon finely chopped
- Black pepper powder - 1/2 teaspoon
- Salt - to taste
- Vegetable Oil - 2 tablespoon
- Water - 1/2 cup
- Parsley or coriander for garnish - 1 tablespoon finely chopped
Instructions
Preparation:
- In a medium sauce pan heat salted water and bring to boil.
- Add pasta and boil until tender.
- Drain well. Keep aside.
Method:
- Heat oil in a large frying pan over medium high heat. Fry onion until soft.
- Add garlic, chili flakes and oregano.
- Then add tomato puree, black pepper and salt. Cook until thick.
- Now place the prawn and cook for 1 minute.
- Then add chopped tomatoes.
- Pour 1/2 cup of water.
- Cook for 3-4 minute or until thick paste form.
- Place the boiled pasta and mix it well.
- Transfer to a serving dish and sprinkle some chili flakes.
- Garnish with parsley or coriander leaves. Serve hot.
