Description
Shorshe-Ilish Dim Bhuna or Ilish fish Egg curry is a thick gravy curry with mustard paste, chili onion and turmeric. It is spicy ilish fish egg curry goes with khichuri or steamed rice.
Shorshe Diye Ilish Dim Bhuna
Ingredients
- For Frying:
- Ilish Dim - 2 pieces big
- Ground turmeric - a pinch
- Salt - to taste
- Oil - 2 tablespoon
- For Shorshe Gravy:
- Onion - 1/4 cup chopped
- Onion Bata - 2 tablespoon
- Shorshe Bata - 2 teaspoon black
- Red Chili Powder - 1/2 teaspoon
- Ground turmeric - 1/2 teaspoon
- Coconut milk - 1/4 cup
- Salt - to taste
- Green Chili - 3-4 pieces
- Mustard Oil - 3 tablespoon
Instructions
Preparation:
- Heat 2 tablespoon oil and fry ilish dim sprinkle with salt and turmeric powder.
- Fry until brown. Keep aside.
Cooking Method:
- Heat oil and fry onion until soft.
- Add all other ingredients and stir for 2-3 minutes until oil is separated from gravy.
- Now add 1/2 cup water and fried ilish dim.
- Add green chili, cover and cook for 5-6 minutes on low heat until gravy is thick.
- Once cooked then cut the cooked egg into small pieces and serve.
Notes:
- Adjust salt and chili according to your spice level.
- Make paste of black mustard with some salt and a green chili to remove the taste of bitterness.
