Haleem Mashla/Haleem Spice Powder

Ingredients
- Whole Spices:
- Dry Red Chili - 5 pieces
- Green Cardamon - 5 pieces
- Black Cardamon - 2 pieces
- Cinnamon 1 - 2 pieces
- Bay leaf - 1 piece
- Jaiphal (nutmeg) - 1/2 of one
- Cloves - 4-5 pieces
- Cumin - 1 tablespoon
- Coriander - 2 teaspoon
- Mustard Seeds - 2 teaspoon
- Fenugreek seeds - 1 teaspoon
- Fennel - 1/2 teaspoon
- Black Pepper - 12 pieces
- Other Ingredients:
- Turmeric powder (optional) - 1/2 teaspoon
- Bit lobon/Black salt - 1/2 teaspoon
Instructions
Preparation:
- Roast dry red chili first on low heat and keep aside.
- Then roast cardamon, cinnamon, nutmeg, bay leaf and cloves together on low heat. Once roast remove immediately from heat and keep with roasted red chili.
- Finally roast cumin, coriander, fenugreek, fennel, coriander, mustard and black pepper together on low heat. Turn off flame and mix with other roasted spices.
Method:
- Grind all roasted spices until fine powder. Strain well with a strainer. Keep on a bowl.
- Now mix turmeric and black salt with spice powder. Strain again.
- Transfer to a airtight jar and keep on a dry place.
Notes:
- I made one batch for 10-12 serving haleem in this recipe. You can made more or less.
- If you want to make more, then doubled all the ingredients and make with same process.
