Preparation:

  1. Clean the rice and soak for 10 minutes.
  2. Drain all water completely.

Method:

  1. Heat ghee in a pan, add whole cardamon, cinnamon,cloves and bay leaves.
  2. Fry chopped onion until soft.
  3. Add rice and ginger paste. Fry a little.
  4. Mix garlic paste, onion paste and fry a little.
  5. Now pour 7 cups of water and stirring 2-3 times.
  6. Add salt, green chilies and sugar.
  7. Bring to boil until water dries up.
  8. Once water dries up, reduced heat to low.
  9. Place a tawa under the pan.
  10. Sprinkle green peas, alu bukhara and raisins.
  11. Add kewra essence.
  12. Cover and cook for 15 minutes on a very low heat.
  13. Once cooked and
  14. Transfer to serving plate and garnish with beresta.
  15. Serve hot with chicken roast or beef rezala.
