Prep Time : 15 minutes. Cook Time : 50 minutes Yield : 10 big pieces




  • Preheat your oven to 180 degree C. Grease with butter and flour a 10-in. fluted tube pan.
  • Mix dry ingredients - flour, salt, soda, baking powder and gelatin powder. Mix until well mix. Keep aside.
  • Toss chopped strawberries with one tablespoon flour and keep aside.
  • In a large bowl whisk egg until foamy with electric bitter, add sugar and whisk again.
  • Now add oil, yogurt and whisk until light and creamy texture.
  • Then add flour mixture and mix with a spatula gently.
  • Mix vanilla essence and lemon juice.
  • Finally gently fold strawberries with a spatula .


  • Transfer batter to prepared pan.
  • Bake 55-60 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.
  • Cool in pan 10 minutes before removing to wire rack; cool completely.


  • In a small bowl, mix confectioners' sugar and lemon juice until smooth. Drizzle over cake.
