Baked Potato Strips
Ingredients
- Potato strips - 2 cups boiled
- For Batter:
- All purpose flour - 1/2 cup
- Salt - 1/4 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
- Ginger powder - 1/4 teaspoon
- Garam masala powder - 1/4 teaspoon
- Oil - 2 teaspoon
- For Crumb Coating:
- Bread crumbs - 1 cup
- Roasted cumin powder - a pinch
- Paparika - 1 teaspoon
- Black pepper powder - 1/2 teaspoon
- Ginger powder - 1/2 teaspoon
- Onion Powder - 1/2 teaspoon
- Oregano - 1 teaspoon
- Salt - to taste
- Oil for spray
Instructions
- Cut the potatoes into long strips. Wash and boiled. Keep aside.
- In a bowl mix the batter ingredients. It should be the consistency of thick fried-chicken batter.
- If needed Add a few teaspoon more water or flour .
- In another bowl, mix all the coating ingredients well.
- Preheat the oven to 200 degrees C.
- Take a strips at a time into the batter bowl, remove using your one hand, tap to drop the excess batter,
- Transfer to coating bowl. Move the pieces around to coat with your another hand, transfer to baking sheet.
- Cover the lid of the coating bowl and move it around. This works if you ensure that there is not too much excess batter on the strip pieces.
- Repeat for all the strips. Spray oil on the breaded strips. Bake for 20 to 23 minutes or until golden.
- Serve hot with your favorite sauces!
- Enjoy!
- You can use other spice blend like garam masala or blackeing spice blend for variation.
- If you want to make oil-free, omit the oil.
