alu dum recipe
Ingredients
- small potato - 500 gram
- Cumin - 1 teaspoon
- onion chopped - 1/2 cup
- Thick Tok Doi/Hung Curd/Greek yogurt - 1/2 cup
- Besan/Lentil Powder/Gram Flour - 1 teaspoon
- fresh cream - 2 tsp
- cashews paste - 1 tablespoon
- hot spice powder - 1 tsp
- salt
- coriander leaves chopped - 1 tablespoon
- Mustard oil - 1/4 cup
- paste: green chilli 4 pieces, ginger 1 inch, tomato 1
Instructions
- boil and peel the potato. keep aside.
- heat oil in a pan. fry the potato pieces until brown. remove fried potato from pan.
- add remaining oil and add cumin, fry a little, then add onion and fry until light brown.
- then mix tomato-ginger-green chili paste. cook 2-3 minutes.
- add yogurt, fresh cream, besan, and mix well.
- mix potato cook well.
- then add cashes paste, mix well.
- now add hot spice powder, salt and water.
