Bhapa Sandesh/Steamed Sandesh
Ingredients
- Channa/Cottage Cheese - 2 cups
- Milk powder - 1/2 cup
- Condensed milk - 1/2 cup
- Ghee - 1 teaspoon
- For garnishing:
- Pistachio, raisins, rose petals - as needed
Instructions
Preparation:
- Make channa from milk-see the my another post link-(how to make channa).
- Grease a tiffen box or oven proof bowl with ghee and keep aside.
- Preheat your oven to 180 degree c.
Method:
- Mix powder milk, condensed milk with channa in a bowl. Mix well.
- Make a smooth consistency.
- Pour the batter into greased bowl.
- Close the bowl with a aluminium foil.
- In a large baking tary put the bowl and fill carefully with some hot water to become halfway up the side of your bowl.
- Bake for 20-30 minutes.
- Now chill it into refrigerator for overnight.
- Cut into pieces and garnish with pistachio, raisins and rose petals.
Gas stove method:
- If you cook in your gas stove, grease a box with ghee and pour the mixture.
- Close the lid.
- Put the box into the pan, pour some water halfway up the side of the box. Put a heavy thing on your box to protect shaking when boiling water.
- Reduced heat to low and cook for 15-20 minutes.
- Remove from heat and chill into refrigerator.
- Cut into pieces and garnish with pistachio, raisins and rose petals.
